Digi Introduces Malaysia’s First Prepaid Internet Plan With Free Life Insurance Cover

Digi Abadi is a first-of-its-kind prepaid internet plan that comes with free life insurance cover. The result of a collaboration between the telco and AXA Affin Life Insurance, it bundles both connectivity and insurance cover into one single plan.

Open to eligible Malaysians aged 30 to 55, Digi Abadi offers life insurance cover of up to RM40,000 for death, accidental death and funeral expenses. The plan will renew at RM20 every 30 days and customers can continue to enjoy the life insurance cover. On top of that, they will also enjoy loyalty bonuses of up to RM55,000 life insurance and 6GB internet quota the longer they stay on the plan.

Customers are liable to receive an extra RM5,000 in death benefits and a 1GB upgrade to the base Internet quota on every 13th renewal, with a maximum of three upgrades that will increase their Internet quota to 6GB and death benefit up to RM45,000. The Accidental Death and Funeral expenses benefits remain at RM8000 and RM2000 respectively.

On the telco side of things, you will get 3GB of fast internet with 30 days validity, 10 sen/minute for calls and SMSes to all networks and a 365-day SIM validity. The starter kit is priced at RM28 and is available exclusively on the Digi Online Store for 100,000 customers. Digi Abadi is open to both new and existing Digi customers, in which the latter will need to register a new line should they want to switch over. Each customer is entitled to only one line with one Life Insurance policy.
