Malaysia Will Be Getting Its First 5G Tablet From Huawei On June 26

You probably know all about the MatePad Pro already, Huawei’s flagship tablet that was arrived in our market earlier this year. You can read our review about it here where we talked about its great hardware that is hampered with software issues, owing to the current still in-effect Huawei ban in the US and the general state of Android tablets.

You probably have heard that it comes in a 5G variant too. If you have always wanted a 5G tablet, well the good news is that the MatePad Pro 5G will be available here nationwide starting June 26, this Friday.

What is essentially Malaysia’s first 5G tablet will be priced at RM3,299. For that price, you will also be getting 50GB worth of Huawei Cloud storage that will be valid for 12 months in addition to free Huawei Video with 3 months dimsum, 3 months Qello Concert and 3 months The Explorers worth of content subscription.

To get the most out of the MatePad Pro 5G, you probably would be thinking of snapping up the Smart Magnetic Keyboard and Huawei M-Pencil as well. Huawei Malaysia has got your covered there by offering the stylus that is worth RM299 for free for every purchase of the Smart Magnetic Keyboard (RRP: RM499), which stocks last.

The MatePad Pro 5G will only come in the Forest Green color option with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage at launch. For context, the 5G-less standard MatePad Pro currently retails at RM2,399 and you can get the tablet+keyboard+stylus bundle package at RM2,898.
